SIA interview
It's been a really great weekend (9&10 March 2013) for me.
I went to SIA (Singapore Airlines) interview for the second times for air steward job.

That's a total of 4 Rounds interview and for myself it a really intense mood throughout the process.
Everyone look so well groomed and prepared, The staffs was helpful.
On the first day 3 rounds of interview will done on the day itself.

Round 1 - Self Introduction and answer a simple question.
The will a group of 10 people for round 1. Basically you just got to intro yourself short and sweet, keep it simple it's the key i would say. The question that was ask for my group this time was "If you can choose a celebrity for dinner tonight who will it be and why?" and again go to the main point and keep it simple.

After everyone is done you just go outside and wait for the result that who is going through the second round. I believe that's no limit of how many can go through as i heard that a chance everyone can go on for the second round or even close to none.

Round 2 - Height check, Qualification and Skin Check
This round is a very simple round, As long you meet the requirement height and qualification is easy. The skin check basically checking whether if you have scars or tattoos that's visible. So if your skin is good and tattoo is hidden if you have any i believe it shouldn't be a problem.

Same thing once you done wait outside for the result outside.

Round 3 - 1 to 1 Interview
This round is close - up interview whereby they will ask you more question such as your background, work etc. you will be given a situation on the spot and give a solution. That's no right or wrong answer so give in your best.

The Situation that i was given was "A passenger sitting beside between 2 obese passengers and he seems uncomfortable but he not expressing or approaching the staffs what will you do?"

So as you go on he will ask you more question from your answer or asking you for more solutions. So stay calm and think as fast as you can as long its logical. This interview takes about 15mins itself so be prepare.

So same thing once you done wait outside for the result. So if you pass this round you will invited for another meeting tomorrow at SIA Training center located at upper changi road. I was invited for the interview tomorrow at 1030am.

Round 4 - Management Interview.
For this final round is a very critical round it's either you in or out. So this round you will be in a group of 6. Try get know more people that is in your timing cause you will have to introduce one of them when you are in the interviewer room. So you will be given a minute to know each other that you gonna introduce so if you already get to know the person before hand that will be a bonus.

After the introduction you will be given a passage to read. I think i screw up this part cause i sucks a reading passage. So after the reading passage you will go on to a debate for my group the question was "The pros and cons on Bilinguals and Monolingual" and you will give a min to discuss on 3 vs 3.

Same thing after all this, wait outside for the result. like i say it's either you are in or you are out! So unfortunately i didn't make it in. But the rest of group interviewees got in. I was upset but i guess that's nothing i can do but to go again for the next drive which is about 6 weeks away.

I meet a lot of great people during my last round. Agnes Lim, Eunice, Melisa, Amanda Tan, Zi Wei, Nizam, Boywin, Dane and many many more. I'm glad that most of them got in and of course i'm really happy that i can make it to the final round even though i didn't gets in. it's really disappointing but i believe the experience i gained will be a better use in the future.
